The Aims of the course are to give delegates a full understanding of hazard identification techniques to enable them to participate and facilitate the risk assessment activities required in the implementation of an ICAO compliant SMS. It looks in detail at qualitative Hazard Identification (HAZID) processes, risk classification, including definitions for severity and probability criteria, the development of a Risk Assessment Matrix (RAM), Risk Tolerability criteria, mitigation strategies and risk management processes.
